Outer bark light brown, ridged or furrowed
Leaves simple, spiral, clustered at tips of twigs, narrowly obovate to obovate, 15-25 cm x 7-15 cm, base obtusely rounded, apex abruptly acute; secondary veins prominent, about 20 pairs, yellowish-brown pubescent beneath; petiole 2-3 cm long
Flowers pale white, with sepals yellowish, pubescent on both sides; corolla glabrous, 8-11-lobed; 16-20 stamens; the flowers with strong foetid smell
Fruit fleshy, orange-reddish when young, black when matured, ellipsoid to oblong, 2-4 cm x 1.5-2 cm, 1-seeded; seed ellipsoid, 1cm diameter, with thin glossy testa, and thick cotyledons.
