EDC BINHI broadens the scope of the BINHI CommuniTree platform in mainstreaming Philippine native trees and engaging the general public to plant these trees. Stakeholders can donate funds to enable local community organizations to plant trees on their behalf or receive seedlings from EDC and plant them on their properties.

CommuniTree also features a web map application that displays the spatial location of the planted seedlings, photos, and other information about the tree species planted, which enables stakeholders participating in the planting activities to see their planted trees’ location and status.

Communitree has 1,000 participants with 1877 planted philippine native trees throughout the country as of December 2022.
